Consultation was recently undertaken with the local government sector to co-design a child safe policy to support local governments to introduce and integrate the recommended child safety functions into existing roles, as an alternative to establishing a designated position.

Local government authorities and relevant stakeholders' feedback is being sought on the draft Child Safe Awareness Policy via the consultation questions below. Background information and context is provided to guide feedback in the Child Safety Awareness Policy Consultation Paper. Feedback can be provided up to COB Friday, 12 August 2022 at csaroyalcommission@communities.wa.gov.au .
