The WA Government's Renewable Hydrogen Fund (the Fund) is designed to support the growth of the renewable hydrogen industry in WA. The Fund focuses on supporting capital works projects and feasibility studies across WA, in accordance with the four strategic focus areas of the WA Renewable Hydrogen Strategy

In 2019, the WA Government launched the first round of the Fund with up to $10 million available to drive a new job-creating industry, harnessing WA's renewable resources. Public knowledge sharing reports are now available to view for completed capital works projects and feasibility studies under round 1 of the Fund.

In 2020, the WA Government announced up to $5 million for a second round of the Fund as part of the WA Recovery Plan to continue supporting the WA renewable hydrogen industry. In 2021, the WA Government awarded grants to 1 capital works project and 3 feasibility studies.
