Fremantle Prison will benefit from $1.6 million for essential conservation works as part of the WA Recovery Plan.

Works include:

  • levelling the slope of Main Parade Ground to prevent future damage to the cell block caused by insufficient drainage
  • providing a more suitable space for hosting large events
  • enhancing the prison’s tourism potential
  • urgent repairs to the prison hospital.
