Nominations are now open for the 2021 WA Youth Awards that will recognise outstanding Western Australians aged 10-25.

The awards will celebrate their achievements, talents and contributions to the community, as well as those of individuals and organisations that work with and support the State's young people.

The 2021 WA Young Person of the Year will be selected from the winners of categories recognising individuals.

Category winners receive a $1,000 prize. The WA Young Person of the Year will receive a $10,000 travel bursary to participate in youth-related events and activities across WA, in addition to a personal travel prize valued at $3,000.

Nominations close on Friday 5 March 2021 with winners to be announced at the 22nd annual WA Youth Awards on Friday 9 April at WA Museum, Boola Bardip.

The awards are a partnership between the Department of Communities and the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia and are supported by Lotterywest.
