Communities supports evacuees from Cyclone Seroja

The Department of Communities has activated evacuation centres in the Midwest-Gascoyne region following Cyclone Seroja.

WA’s Cyclone Seroja hit Kalbarri last night before heading south east towards Geraldton. Tens of thousands of residents have damaged and destroyed homes.

Department of Communities has activated welfare evacuation centres in the Midwest-Gascoyne region:

  • Dongara: Irwin Recreation Centre om Ridley Street in Port Denison
  • Carnarvon: Civic Centre on Camel Lane in Carnarvon
  • Shark Bay-Denham: Evacuation centre on Franics Road Denham (established by the Shire).

Further evacuation centres are on standby if required. Australian Red Cross have established online registrations and repatriation for evacuees.
