Community Housing Partnership Steering Group – Expressions of Interest open to the sector

The Department of Communities is forming a Community Housing Partnership Steering Group to provide advice, oversight and engagement that will help to support the growth and sustainability of the Community Housing Sector.

Minister for Housing, the Hon. John Carey MLA announced the Steering Group at the recent 2022 Community Housing Roundtable. The Steering Group will have up to 12 experienced leaders from the sector with diverse representation of program areas including disability accommodation, crisis accommodation and social housing providers in regional and metro areas. 

The Steering Group will be co-chaired by Mr Wayne Millen, Chief Finance Officer of Communities, and Ms Kath Snell, Chief Executive Officer, Shelter WA. The draft terms of reference for the Group will be considered and ratified by the Steering Group at the first meeting in February 2023.

Communities is calling for expressions of interest from people with significant and relevant experience in the community housing sector from around Western Australia to be a member of the Steering Group.
