Women in Executive Leadership Initiative (WiELI) Connect event highlights collaborative empowerment for rising leaders
Last updated:

The Women in Executive Leadership Initiative recently held its Connect Event, fostering collaboration and professional growth among emerging female leaders in the sector.

The 18 newly appointed executives met at Hale House, exchanging insights, generating ideas and gaining valuable guidance into the Leadership Expectations of the Executive Leadership context.

Lorraine Gregoriadis, Executive Director Strategic Leadership and Talent at the Commission, spoke about the mindset and behavioural shifts required for executive success.

“What got you here, won’t get you there,” she reminded participants, encouraging them to use Leadership Expectations to guide their professional journeys.

Rowena Davis, who was a participant in last year’s initiative and is now working at the Public Sector Commission, shared reflections on her experiences, offering advice to the current participants on maximising the program’s opportunities.

Commissioner Sharyn O’Neill PSM concluded the session, prompting the group to consider the lessons learned thus far and why they were chosen for this initiative. She challenged them to be courageous and lean in going forward.

The initiative is committed to equipping talented women with the skills and insights necessary to excel in senior roles, ultimately strengthening leadership capacity and impact across the sector.
