The ECP ensures that the interests and opinions of Western Australian energy consumers are represented in energy sector consultations and rule making processes, ECP members engage with energy companies, regulators and policy makers, attend Committee meetings and Forums, and compose submissions on behalf of Western Australian energy customers.

The ECP aims to be an inclusive and representative body. Panellists will be given the opportunity to learn more about Western Australia's energy sector, engage in consumer advocacy and contribute to major decision making in the sector.

You can become an Expert Consumer Panel (ECP) member by applying on our website.

Benefits include:

  • Being paid to help shape the WA energy sector.
  • The opportunity to be a consumer representative on high-level energy industry committees.
  • Get invited to the WA ACE Forums.
  • Annual one-on-one meeting with the Coordinator of Energy.
  • Access to WA ACE Small grant funding.

The ECP Terms of Reference provides that the ECP membership should reflect the diversity of Western Australian communities and populations. We strongly encourage gender diversity, persons with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people or other diverse backgrounds to apply.
