The 2020 Graduate Launch Program wrapped up recently after 45 inspiring graduates presented their group projects to a panel of judges.

The program was delivered online for the first time and graduates explored ideas that could help guide our state along its road to recovery.

“Presentations were very well researched and prepared,” said panellist Mandy Taylor, Chief Financial Officer at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

“It was a pleasure to hear from all the graduates. They are an incredibly skilled cohort.”

Throughout the year, graduates were given the skills and tools needed to develop and maintain a successful career in the sector.

“Although I never had to move far from my desk, I felt no impact on the learning experience,” said program graduate Matt Gorman.

“The program really helped me find my bearings on the practices and expectations of working in the public sector”.

The Graduate Launch Program provides career development opportunities to university graduates new to the public sector and is just one of the initiatives run by the Commission that contributes to a future-fit, collaborative and diverse sector.

Congratulations to the graduating cohort.

Applications for the next intake open in February 2021. For more information about the program email Strategic Leadership and Talent
