In August 2022, following consideration of stakeholder feedback, the Minister for Energy endorsed Energy Policy WA’s recommendation to increase the generation licence exemption threshold from 30MW to not more than 100MW.
The regulatory amendments to bring this recommendation into effect come into effect on 22 October 2022
