iThink (WA Public Sector) is back, kicking off 2021 by calling for ideas from government sector staff on two new challenges.
The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have seen ripples of dynamic change throughout the sector, in both how services are delivered to the Western Australian community and the way in which the government sector works day to day.
iThink’s two new challenges focus on how to better connect with the sector’s regional workforce and how agencies have been adapting during the pandemic, with ideas around technology and digital capabilities already emerging as a common theme.
“Now more than ever, collaboration and connection are vital to the way the sector operates. People are working for the community all across our vast state and it’s important that they are supported and connected despite the distance between them,” said Sonja O’Leary, Executive Director of People, Culture and Diversity at the Public Sector Commission.
“Things move so quickly and agencies need to continue to adapt to meet the community’s demands by being connected, flexible and innovative.”
If you work in the government sector, get involved by joining the iThink community to share your ideas.
“No idea is too big or small. And you never know - your idea might just help someone else find the solution they’re looking for,” Ms O’Leary said.
