These 10 high performing students from Edith Cowan University (ECU) will gain real world cyber security experience as part of completing their studies.

This is the third group of WIL students to be placed in the Office of Digital Government’s Cyber Security Unit. During their 12 week placement, the WIL students will provide technical support for cyber security initiatives with a focus on agency support and engagement. This includes conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, server hardening and providing technical assistance for cyber incidents.

The WIL program offers benefits for the students, ECU and the public sector, particularly for agencies who are building their cyber security expertise. This program and the broader relationships with ECU, provide pivotal support to the Office of Digital Government in its role of improving cyber security standards across the public sector.
