Stepping into a leadership position for the first time is exciting – it can also be challenging and difficult to navigate. Propel is a new and exciting leadership development program for public sector employees at the beginning of their leadership journey.

Propel is the latest addition to the Commission’s suite of leadership and development programs that delivers tailored learning experiences for public sector employees supporting our goal to build a high performing, future fit sector.

Commencing in July, Propel is a 10-week virtual program offering participants access to subject matter experts and leaders from across the sector. Interactive workshops and small group coaching sessions provide experiences and insights needed for a positive start to leading in the public sector.

In the program there are 3 topics on offer:

  • Propel performance and accountability
  • Propel purpose and culture
  • Propel changes and strategies.

Propel is a microcredential program delivered online through the University of New South Wales. Credits earned by participants from completing each Propel topic can be put towards a formal UNSW qualification.

To apply for a place you must be committed to the 10-week program and have manager approval to attend and for the program cost of $865. Applications close at 5 pm on Monday 27 June 2022.
