Regional Business Engagement Forums coming to the Kimberley

Hosted by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, the Broome and Kununurra Regional Business Engagement Forums are designed for WA small and medium enterprises operating in the Kimberley. Businesses will hear from JTSI and the Department of Training and Workforce Development about Government grant funding, trainee and apprenticeship initiatives, support opportunities and networks in the region, and upcoming work and contracts.

The forums also provides an opportunity for local business to have their say on regional issues impacting business, plus network with procurement officers from Government and meet local content advisers and industry groups who link local business with relevant support and work.

Two forums will be held across week commencing 17 October;

  1. Broome on Tuesday 18 October at the Broome Golf Club from 5pm to 7pm. Click the link to register to attend!

Topics for this forum will include: 

  • The launch of a specific Kimberley round of the Local Capability Fund for small and medium enterprises in the Kimberley.
  • An overview of the WA labour market and exploring financial incentives for employing apprentices and trainees
  • A multi-agency overview of Government contract opportunities and work packages expected in the Kimberley over the next 12-24 months
