The regional tourism industry will receive $1 million in funding for 77 regional events.

The WA Government is supporting the regional tourism industry with $1 million in funding for 77 regional events.

Events awarded funding for the first time through this scheme include Bunbury Fringe 2021 in the South West, Get Hooked Fishing Festival in the Wheatbelt, and the South Festival in the Pilbara.

Seven events were awarded funding under the Regional Aboriginal Events Scheme to showcase Aboriginal activities and experiences, and encourage Aboriginal leadership and participation.
