The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) was recently reformed through the passing of the Planning and Development Amendment Act 2023 and we are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified eligible candidates who would like to join the reconstituted Board and committees and contribute to shaping the future of Western Australia.
The WAPC has state-wide responsibility for integrated land use planning and promoting sustainable development in the long term interests of the people of Western Australia. Its functions and authority are established under the Planning and Development Act 2005. The new Board will comprise of 7 to 9 members with skills, qualities and experience to ensure an effective, contemporary and well-rounded board.
We are also seeking nominations from candidates who would like to contribute to WAPC committees, including the Statutory Planning Committee, Swan Valley Statutory Planning Committee and the Executive, Finance and Property Committee.
