Sonja O’Leary took up this position in July 2021 to lead a 2 year trial of the Agency Capability Review Program, which is now permanent.
Ms O’Leary joined the Commission in September 2018 as Executive Director People, Culture and Diversity and from November 2018 until July 2021 was also the Director of Equal Opportunity in Public Employment.
Before working at the Commission, Ms O’Leary held various senior positions in the Department of Justice and WA Police Force leading strategy, policy, planning and asset investment. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice Administration), Executive Master of Public Administration and is a Fellow of Leadership Western Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
