Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

The Commission launched its RAP in November 2009.

The RAP turns “good intentions into action” by encouraging and supporting organisations to engage in the national effort to close the gap in life expectancy between Indigenous and other Australians.

The RAP includes specific actions and targets designed to foster the Commission’s relationship with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and bring about a better way of delivering our services. The Commission's RAP also seeks to establish a process for consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders in relation to Commission activities and projects.
