Report: Energy Customer Contract Regulations

Policy
Energy Policy WA has published the Final Report: Review of Energy Customer Contract Regulations that outlines recommended updates to energy customer contract regulations to help improve and streamline customer protections.
Last updated:

The Report presents Energy Policy WA’s finalised recommendations from its review of the Energy Coordination (Customer Contracts) Regulations 2004 and Electricity Industry (Customer Contracts) Regulations 2005. These regulatory improvements are to provide a streamlined and consistent framework for delivering customer protections by removing outdated references within the regulations and duplications with other instruments.

The Minister for Energy has endorsed the recommendations and Energy Policy WA will now proceed with the required implementation actions, including the drafting of regulatory changes in consultation with stakeholders.
