What is the Bentley 360 Project?

Bentley 360 is a medium to high density urban infill development project that was being delivered by the Department of Communities.

The Department of Communities previously sought a development partner for the Bentley 360 project through an Expressions of Interest (EOI) in May 2018.  No suitable developer was identified through this process, which was finalised in late 2019.  

The State Government is currently assessing the future of the project with development timeframes to be confirmed.

Where is the project site?

Located approximately 8km south east of the Perth CBD, the Bentley 360 Project is within the City of Canning local government area and is bordered by Manning Road to the south. 

How big is the project site?

The Bentley 360 site is approximately 27ha, which includes land under private and Department of Communities ownership.

What is the current status of the Bentley 360 Project?

The State Government is currently assessing the project with development timeframes to be confirmed. 

Who is DevelopmentWA?

DevelopmentWA is the State Government’s central land development agency. They operate across the State and create land for homes, jobs and businesses for the people of Western Australia. They specialise in complex projects and work to create great places for people to work, live and play.

What is DevelopmentWA’s role in the Bentley 360 project?

DevelopmentWA are responsible for maintenance of the site on behalf of the Department of Communities.

When will development on the project begin?

The future of the project is currently being assessed by the State Government with development timeframes to be confirmed. 

Who is responsible for the maintenance of the temporary parklands?

The temporary parklands were developed by Department of Communities and are accessible to the public. Whilst the land is owned by Department of Communities, DevelopmentWA is responsible for the management of the temporary parklands. 

What is happening with the existing community facilities?

The City of Canning currently lease the existing public facilities on the project site, including the Bentley Community Centre. The management of these facilities is the responsibility of the City of Canning. Enquiries relating to these facilities should be directed to the City of Canning on 1300 422 664.
