Social Housing Economic Recovery Package - Community housing investment criteria workshop

Summary of a workshop held to help inform the design of tender criteria for construction and refurbishment works for community housing assets under the Social Housing Economic Recovery Package.

On 14 January 2021, the community housing sector (registered and non-registered providers) was invited to take part in a workshop to help inform the design of qualitative tender criteria for construction and refurbishment works for community housing assets under the Social Housing Economic Recovery Package (SHERP).

Participants discussed and captured their thoughts on how the qualitative tender criteria could be designed. A copy of the relevant presentation slides, a summary of the key workshop discussion points, and responses to some of the questions raised during the workshop are available for download under the resources section. Communities will respond to the remaining questions as the criteria and process are finalised.

As a next step, Communities will collate and analyse the information discussed through the workshop to inform the design of the SHERP’s investment criteria for the construction and refurbishment workstreams and will seek approval of the final design of the investment criteria through its governance bodies.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this process. Please contact Communities’ SHERP team at housingstimulus@communities.wa.gov.au if you have any further questions.
