Economic and Environment Policy Unit - Department of the Premier and Cabinet

These issues include jobs and economic diversification (including the Government's commitments under its Plan for Jobs, and industry growth sectors such as tourism), regulatory and microeconomic reform, competition policy, energy, regional development, immigration, skills and training, climate change, water, waste, PFAS (per- and poly-fluoro alkyl substances) and land management (agriculture, pastoralism, native vegetation, forest management, and land use and natural resource management). 

The unit is responsible for administering the following committees:

  • Jobs and Economic Diversification (JED) Cabinet Sub-Committee 
  • JED Directors General Working Group
  • State Industry Consortia
