Key achievements to date include the establishment and implementation of the following election commitments:

  • Infrastructure WA, including developing a 20-year State infrastructure strategy to advise and assist the Western Australian Government on infrastructure related matters; and
  • Market-Led Proposals policy to provide an innovative opportunity for Government and the private sector to work together to consider and develop unique proposals which have not been requested by Government. Successful proposals will assist in creating jobs and stimulate the Western Australian economy.

As well as:

  • Preparation of an economic development framework for WA - Diversify WA
  • Completed negotiation of the National Partnership Agreement on Land Transport Infrastructure
  • Attracting significant infrastructure funding from the Australian Government through active engagement in Infrastructure Australia's Infrastructure Priority List process.

Our current priorities include:

  • Overseeing the implementation of Project Bank Accounts to improve payment protections for subcontractors, which is a key election commitment under the Plan for Jobs.
  • Representing Premier and Cabinet on major project steering groups, including Westport and METRONET.
  • Actively engaging in planning for the future development of Scitech and the East Perth Power Station
  • Coordinating WA's infrastructure negotiations with the Commonwealth, including:
