Round Two of the Disaster Ready Fund now open
The Disaster Ready Fund (DRF) is an Australian Government initiative that will deliver up to $200 million in funding over five years from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2028, to fund projects that support natural disaster resilience and risk reduction.
DRF Round Two opens Monday 22 January 2024, and closes at 5pm AWST Wednesday 20 March 2024.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is the Lead Agency for Western Australia. Western Australian applicants must submit their application to DFES via the online application portal.
Applicants from the Indian Ocean Territories (Cocos Keeling Islands, Christmas Island) must also submit via the online application portal.
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) close on Monday 22 January 2024. If your organisation has already submitted an Expression of Interest, you will be contacted with further information on next steps for your application.
If you have not submitted an EOI but have a project you wish to discuss, please contact semc.grants@dfes.wa.gov.au before submitting your application.
Please ensure you have read and understood the DRF Round Two Guidelines and reviewed the FAQs and Factsheets available on the DRF website before commencing your application.
If you want a share of $200 million of emergency management grant funding for a project that will build resilience in the Western Australian community and prepare for future natural hazard impacts, begin your application today.
In preparation for Round Two opening, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) will close Western Australia’s DRF Expression of Interest (EOI) portal on 22 January 2024.
Government and non-government organisations who would like to access support to strengthen their grant application are encouraged to submit an EOI before the portal closes. Submitting your EOI prior to 22 January 2024 will ensure your organisation has access to a range of resources developed by DFES and a professional grants writer to support you to develop your application.
Government and non-government organisations can still apply for the DRF Round Two after the EOI portal closes on 22 January 2024; however, access to resources and support will be limited due to the high number of EOIs already received. If you have a project you wish to discuss after the EOI portal closes, please contact semc.grants@dfes.wa.gov.au.
