Rebates for Western Australian broadacre farmers experiencing water shortages

The Farm Water Supply Planning Scheme provides a rebate to commercial broadacre farmers to fund an audit of their water supply.

farm water auditor will make a site inspection to help farmers develop a water supply plan which will identify ways to improve the sustainability of their on-farm water supplies.

Application information

Applications may be made at any time.

The rebate is available to Western Australian commercial broadacre farmers.

Eligible farmers may apply for funding of up to $1,000 to cover 50 per cent of the audit cost.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN) and be registered for the goods and services tax (GST)
  • have a commercial broadacre farm located in Western Australia
  • be located in an eligible local government area.
