The Aboriginal Procurement Policy (the Policy) mandates progressive targets for the award of contracts to Aboriginal businesses and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs). The target for the 2024-25 financial year was 4 per cent.

The data contained within this Infographic relates to contract award information extracted from Tenders WA for the period of 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 and is subject to the accuracy of that information. 

In the 2024-25 financial year a record number of contracts were awarded to Aboriginal suppliers and there was an increase in the total value of contracts awarded. WA government awarded a total of 383 contracts to Aboriginal suppliers valued at $442 million representing 6.82 per cent of all contracts awarded throughout the state. 

WA government continues its strong commitment toward contracting with Aboriginal suppliers.
