You respond to public comment submissions

The applicant is given the opportunity to respond to public comment submissions.

We will provide the applicant with copies of all submissions received within 7 days of the closing date of public comment submissions.

This enables you to make appropriate justification or amendments and provides for balanced consideration.

If any significant issues emerge from the consultation process, we may discuss possible amendments to the application with you, to help achieve a suitable outcome. If significant changes are identified, a 14-day period will generally be allowed for you to provide a response to any submission or to revise the application, unless an alternative timeframe is agreed.

If you do not respond within this timeframe (14 days unless otherwise negotiated), we will begin working on the statement of decision or relevant considerations document. To ensure a transparent and timely assessment process, you will not be permitted to amend or revise your application once this has occurred.
