Angela Kelly PSM has been announced as Western Australia’s new Agent General for the United Kingdom/Europe region.

As the Agent General, Ms Kelly will oversee the Invest and Trade Western Australia offices in London and Frankfurt and work alongside the State’s Investment and Trade Commissioners to attract investment and promote trade opportunities for local businesses.

Ms Kelly will begin in the position in October 2024 and has been appointed for a 9-month term.

Ms Kelly is currently Deputy Director General at the Western Australian Department of Health and is leading the delivery of strategic priorities through Major Health Projects and Infrastructure and the Office of Medical Research and Innovation. She has decades of experience in system performance, financial management, strategic planning and corporate governance, and has led numerous projects to support system wide reforms. Ms Kelly also has extensive knowledge of the State’s health and medical life sciences ecosystem which is an important sector to support Western Australia’s economic diversification.

Ms Kelly follows John Langoulant AO, who will complete his 3-year term as Agent General on 17 October 2024.
