The Western Australian government has committed up to $55 million to support an anchor tenant to establish an advanced manufacturing facility at the South West Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub (AMTECH) in Picton.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) is now open, with the WA Government inviting businesses and organisations to submit their proposals via the TendersWA website.
The RFP closes 5pm AWST, 30 September 2026. Login to the Tenders WA website to commence your submission.
The selected anchor tenant will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the AMTECH precinct and fostering a vibrant advanced manufacturing ecosystem in the region.
The facility is expected to strengthen local manufacturing capability, increase regional participation in clean energy projects, and create new employment opportunities.
Manufacturing is a cornerstone of the South West economy, contributing approximately $9.9 billion to State output in 2025 and supporting more than nine per cent of regional employment.
The AMTECH anchor tenancy selection process is coordinated by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification with construction overseen by DevelopmentWA.
