The Appeals Convenor has been busy in the State’s regions embracing the value of on-site visits.

The travel has been far and wide – from the northern towns of Karratha and Port Hedland in the Pilbara region through to Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region, and down to the South West region, including Dardanup, Margaret River and Albany.

The Appeals Convenor values the importance of these visits, strengthening stakeholder relationships and supporting investigations of appeals.

“Listening to appellant concerns helps us understand the issues at hand,” Ms Drain said.

“I use these opportunities to help shape my recommendations to the Minister for the Environment.”
