Applications for Round 5 of the Defence Science Centre (DSC) Collaborative Research Grant (CRG) are open.

Funding of between $50,000 to $150,000 is available. Applications close at midnight (AWST) Wednesday 15 March 2023.

The DSC Collaborative Research Grant provides funding to support cross-disciplinary research and build academic communities across Western Australia, Australia and around the world.

The CRG is intended to assist Western Australian industry and academics address Defence priorities and directly contribute to Australian Defence Force capability development.

It is co-funded through the Western Australian Government and the Australian Government’s Next Generation Technologies Fund (NGTF).

Round 5 projects should be scoped for 12-18 months duration. 

To be eligible for funding, applications must align to the theme of maritime maintenance/sustainment, or align to one of the nine priorities under the Next Generation Technologies Fund.

The proposed project must also include collaboration with at least one of four designated universities in WA.
