Armadale Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance for information or vision as they investigate an incident that occurred in Canning Vale about 6.45pm on Thursday 2 October 2025.
Police attended the carpark of a drive-thru food outlet located at a shopping centre on Ranford Road, after receiving reports of an altercation between a group of people.
It is alleged five young males walking back to their vehicle were involved in a verbal altercation with three other males who arrived at the location on e-scooters. The altercation allegedly escalated and became physical.
During the alleged physical altercation, a 16-year-old male received lacerations to his face, body, and arm. He was conveyed by ambulance to hospital for medical treatment.
A second victim – a 17-year-old male - was sprayed in the face with what is believed to have been pepper spray and a third victim - an 18-year-old male - sustained a cut to his nose and irritation to his eyes.
A 19-year-old male from Canning Vale is in custody and has been charged with ‘Unlawful Wounding’ (OC spray) and ‘Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm.’ He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today, 3 October 2025.
