Cannington Detectives have charged a 76-year-old man in relation to an incident that occurred in Willetton on Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
About 1.30pm, the man confronted his 81-year-old female neighbour in the driveway of her Ringarooma Way address.
It will be alleged; the man produced a knife and assaulted the woman causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
St John WA attended the scene and conveyed the woman to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. Police attended and located the man nearby where he was taken into custody.
The 76-year-old man from Willetton has been charged with:
• One count of ‘With intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm’
His bail was refused and he is next due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on Thursday, 21 August 2025.
