Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking the public’s assistance for information following a serious crash that occurred in Chittering today, Thursday 30 April 2026.

About 7.20am, an orange Kia Sportage station sedan was travelling south on Great Northern Highway when it collided with a truck towing several trailers near the Chittering Roadhouse.

The driver of the Kia Sportage - a 63-year-old man - was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with serious leg injuries.

The 41-year-old male truck driver was not injured.

Major Crash investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, or who saw the Kia Sportage station sedan or the truck towing several trailers travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
