Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they continue to investigate two scrub fires that occurred in Clarkson on Sunday, 22 March 2026.

Abou 4.25pm, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and Police were advised of a fire in bushland on Whiston Crescent near Renshaw Boulevard.

About 5.10pm, another fire started in bushland in Richard Aldersea Park located on Aldersea Circuit.

DFES extinguished both fires before they could spread. The fires are believed to be linked and are being treated as suspicious.

Officers urge anyone who saw, or has vision of, any suspicious activity relating to these fires, to contact Crime Stoppers either online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000. Reports can be made anonymously.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
