Volunteers at False Entrance clean-up

A clean-up at False Entrance beach has marked the opening of Keep Australia Beautiful WA Community Litter Grants worth up to $10,000.

Locals banded together to tidy up the iconic fishing spot including Perfect Nature Cruises, Shark Bay’s shire and community resource centre, four-wheel drive enthusiasts, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Shark Bay Resources and Useless Loop Primary School staff and students.

Schools, community groups, local governments and small to medium-sized enterprises can apply for grants up to $10,000 that directly address litter management. Total funding of $50,000 is available.

Applying is straightforward, making it easy for organisations and community groups to turn great ideas into action.
