Change of name from WEM Rules to ESM Rules

Since this web page was published, the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules have been renamed the Electricity System and Market (ESM) Rules, and the Electricity Industry (Wholesale Electricity Market) Regulations 2004 (WEM Regulations) have been renamed the Electricity Industry (Electricity System and Market) Regulations 2004 (ESM Regulations). Changes have not been made to this web page to reflect this updated name.

Four draft Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Procedures, developed by the Coordinator of Energy, AEMO and Western Power relating to the Tranche 1 Amending Rules have been released for industry consultation.

These WEM Procedures support the new framework for Generator Performance Standards in the South West Interconnected System, for both new and existing generators, and the associated monitoring and compliance regime.

Submissions to be provided directly to the relevant organisation by 5:00pm, 8 January 2021.
