The Coordinator of Energy has published a determination on Western Power’s submission requesting that the Coordinator triggers a Non-Cooptimised Essential System Services procurement process for Network Support Services for the Byford Substation

The Coordinator of Energy (Coordinator) received a submission from Western Power on 23 July 2025 requesting that the Coordinator triggers a Non-Cooptimised Essential System Services (NCESS) procurement process for Network Support Services for the Byford Substation. 

The Coordinator has published a determination in accordance with section 3.11A of the Electricity System and Market Rules, outlining the reasons for triggering the NCESS procurement process in this instance.
