DMIRS provides support to industry with updated guidelines

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) today published its revised Guidelines for preparing Petroleum Annual Environmental Reports (AERs).

The Guidelines provide petroleum and geothermal operators with greater guidance and clarity on their annual environmental reporting obligations and support the user to understanding the level of detail and type of information that the department expects to receive in AERs.

It also provides information on the relevant topics that are to be included in AERs, including industry specific examples for additional clarity.
