If Distributed Energy Resources (DER) can participate in all aspects of the energy market, it improves our networks' capacity, reliability and security.
The DER Roadmap we released in 2019, recognised the need to evolve the roles and responsibilities of Western Power and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), and define the rules of engagement for aggregators to orchestrate the participation of DER in the power system.
Energy Policy WA will shortly publish policy settings for some elements of Actions 24 and 25 of the DER Roadmap, with an action plan expected in mid-2022.
Join us to discuss the policy settings for:
-
Roles & Responsibilities of the Distribution Systems Operator (DSO),
-
Roles & Responsibilities of the Distribution Market Operator (DMO),
-
Introduction of DER aggregation services into the South-West Interconnected System.
Date: Tuesday 29 March 2022
