Last updated:

High performing Level 8s from 18 agencies across the WA public sector completed the Elev8 program this week, building their capability, confidence and connections over 8 months.

Dan Oswald, Regional Director at the Department of Planning, Lands, and Heritage reflected on the program’s impact at the graduation ceremony.

“With the skills, knowledge and connections we’ve gained, I am confident the future of our public sector has been strengthened,” he said.

“The growth in our leadership through this journey will create positive guidance for our teams, our agencies and our communities.”

Executive Director Strategic Leadership and Talent at the Public Sector Commission, Lorraine Gregoriadis, congratulated the graduates on their commitment and growth throughout the program.

“You have demonstrated that you are up to the challenge of stretching your minds and challenging your assumptions, mindsets and behaviours.

“You have gained a strong foundation from completing Elev8 – but your learning doesn’t end here,” she said.

Lorraine encouraged graduates to continue shaping their leadership journey.

“Craft the type of leader you wish to be and continue to take strides towards learning how you can make a difference, now and for the future.”
