“What will future generations condemn us for?”
Senior public sector leaders gathered for SES Spotlight: The Ethics Edition presented by Dr Matt Beard from the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership.
Dr Beard challenged the room to consider which practices that are accepted today are likely to be condemned in the future. What changes and decisions can we make now to help “bend the arc of the moral universe”?
His questions sparked honest reflection on stewardship, courage and planning for the long term.
Hosted by Public Sector Commissioner Sharyn O’Neill AO PSM, the event highlighted the essential role ethics plays the WA Government Priorities 2025–2029, which focus on building trust, fairness and shared prosperity for the community.
