Regional Operations Group South officers have charged a woman with several offences following an evade police incident in East Rockingham on Wednesday, 25 February 2025.

About 1.35am, police sighted a silver Audi A3 sedan bearing no registration plates on Day Road.

Officers activated emergency lights and sirens, signalling for the driver to stop. It is alleged the driver accelerated away from police at high speed, resulting in a short evade police incident.

Police further allege the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into bushland at the intersection of Mandurah Road, where she was apprehended and taken into custody. She was conveyed to Rockingham Hospital for medical treatment of non-serious injuries. 

The 45-year-old woman from Brookdale has been charged with:

1 x Driver of a vehicle failed to comply with a direction to stop (circumstance of aggravation)
1 x Reckless driving to escape pursuit by police
1 x Failed to correctly affix and display a number plate on a vehicle
1 x No authority to drive (never held)
2 x Possess a prohibited drug

She has been bailed to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court at a later date.
