Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a crash that occurred in Burakin, near Wongan Hills, on Sunday, 10 May 2026.
 
About 8.30am, a white Isuzu D-MAX was travelling south-west on Burakin-Wialki Road when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
 
The 18-year-old male driver of the vehicle sustained critical injuries and was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
 
Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers online via www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
