Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash which occurred in Coolup on Sunday 8 June 2025.
About 4.30pm, a red, 2003 Nissan Patrol was driving north on South Western Highway towards the intersection of Coolup East Road when it left the road and crashed into a tree.
The 62-year-old male driver died at the scene from his injuries.
The 10-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Perth Children’s Hospital for treatment.
