Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking public assistance as they investigate a fatal crash which occurred in Cranbrook on Tuesday 22 September 2026.
 
About 1.20pm a white GWM utility was travelling on Albany Highway, near Yonka Road, when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll several times. 
 
The 79-year-old male driver was conveyed to Albany Health Campus for medical treatment. On Saturday 3 October 2026, the driver passed away due to injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Major Crash investigators conducted an examination of the scene and are appealing for anyone who has information in relation to the crash, to make a report to Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
