Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash which occurred in Nowergup on Wednesday, 1 October 2025.
 
About 8.10pm, a pink 1956 Chevrolet Cadillac and a Ford Ranger were involved in a collision northbound on the Mitchell Freeway, near Butler Boulevard.
 
The 60-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet Cadillac died from his injuries at the scene.
 
The 35-year-old male driver of the Ford Ranger was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. 
 
Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for anyone with information or footage in relation to this incident, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
