Mandurah Detectives have charged two people following an investigation into a firearm incident in Greenfields on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

About 8.10am, police received a report that a 35-year-old man had presented to Peel Health Campus with a gunshot wound to the arm. He received medical treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was later transferred to Fiona Stanley Hospital for further treatment.

It is alleged the victim was confronted by a person known to him outside an address on Exchequer Avenue, near Bortolo Drive, about 7.50am when the incident occurred.

As a result of inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Coodanup later that day, where firearm related parts were allegedly located and seized. Two people were arrested and taken into custody.

A 39-year-old man from Coodanup has been charged with:
1 × With intent to do grievous bodily harm, unlawfully wounds another
1 × Without lawful excuse, points a firearm at another person
1 × Unlawfully possess a handgun, prohibited firearm, or major part of a handgun or prohibited firearm
1 × Possess or acquire prohibited ammunition while not authorised by a licence or permit
1 × No authority to drive (fines suspended)
1 × Possess prohibited drug (methylamphetamine)
1 × Fail to obey order given by an officer

His bail was refused and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, 1 June 2026.

A 36-year-old woman from Coodanup has been charged with:
1 × Possession of prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply
2 × Offer to sell or supply a prohibited drug to another
1 × Possess drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant
1 × Possess or acquire prohibited ammunition while not authorised by a licence or permit

She has been bailed to appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court at a later date.
