From graduate officer to the leader of one of the state’s most complex and essential agencies in just over 20 years – this is the remarkable story of Kylie Maj, Director General of the Department of Justice.

Fresh from university, driven by a passion for public service and a desire to make a difference, Kylie now oversees thousands of staff dedicated to upholding justice in Western Australia.

“If you want to create a positive impact in the world around you, then there’s no better place to do that than the WA public sector,” Kylie says.
