The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has released repackaged draft Statutory Guidelines for mining proposals and mine closure plans to clarify the mandatory requirements for these applications.
From early 2020, all mining proposals and mine closure plans must meet the requirements identified in the Statutory Guidelines. For further information on the changes please refer to the Information Sheet.
The public consultation period for these documents closes on 6 December 2019. Please provide feedback, using our feedback form or via email to: REC.Consultation@dmirs.wa.gov.au
The department will consider incorporating feedback into the finalised Guidelines.
